Nalan Indian Cuisine: Experience Authentic Indian Flavors in Franklin Township

My family and I recently went to Nalan for a birthday dinner, and it was a pleasant experience! For appetizers, we ordered the 555 Gobi and Gobi 65 for for different levels of spice, as well as the Guntur Paneer. The guntur spice is next level Mouth was burning but I loved it. Next, we got the samosa chaat. There was a bit of something to it, like something was off, but it still tasted very good! Lastly, we did orders of vegetable biryani and egg biryani. The vegetable biryani had paneer bits in it and the spices in it and the salan really put everything together. The only reason the service isn’t rated highly is because the egg biryani we ordered initially had chicken in it… but once we informed the staff, they got us a new one. Besides that, they didn’t provide any serving spoons for any of the apps or entrees, but were given them upon requesting them. That does still give them points in my book!

The food here is super good to be very honest. As a South Indian, sometimes our food gets underrepresented and not done well. However, Nalan really changed the food game with their dishes! Everything tasted the way it would when tried in India so if you wanna try South Indian food, I def recommend this place! The biryanis were delicious and some of the North Indian dishes were out of the park good. Definitely recommend the butter chicken, nalan special chicken curry, and karampodi shrimp

Great food. Authentic indian food. The taste is tempting. The appetizers and main course both come with so much love. The portion is great. Highly recommend you to try the kodi vepadu and ghee pulav with chicken.

One of the best south Indian restaurants. We have been here twice and both times the food was exceptionally good. We ordered daal rice, chicken biryani , egg biryani ,veg biryani gobi 555, gobi 65 and some chicken starters which I don't remember the name of but that's their specialty. All dishes were spicy since we ordered medium spicy and the quality and quantity was sufficient. Overall a good restaurant and a must try.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Nalan restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with beautiful decor and soft lighting. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable , making our dining experience a truly memorable one. We especially enjoyed the Tandoor chicken and spicy veg biryani. Food has a little spice but overall it was tasty. I would recommend this place.

If you want to eat good Indian food in New Jersey you cannot afford to miss going here. By far the best Indian food I have tasted in a long time. And the service and ambience are really good. Just be ready to share the place with a full crowd of enthusiastic people. Everything we tried was really good. I just regret we had no room for desserts.

Food was excellent, but one will definitely not go for the ambiance. Always love a BYOB place! They could fix and update the chairs and wobbly tables. Again the food was excellent, but a little love put into this place and it would be 5-Star.

This is fairly new Indian food place. The interior is modern and cute. The staff is welcoming and nice. The tandoori chicken was delicious. Portion was bigger than you’d normally see. Egg curry - was too spicy but gosh! It was super delicious. Even with the heat, we couldn’t stop ourselves from indulging. The chicken biryani was better than the goat biryani. But too bad, it was missing the spice level a biryani should have. The biryanis come with dahi and salan. They also give you extra is you like. I’d give them 4.5⭐, just the for mismatch of the spice level. The service was great. The staff is efficient and quick. I’ll come back for the biryani. **initially we saw great reviews, then we saw a photo saying leave us a reviews for a free mango lassi. But I’m glad we tried it. It is really good food.
